2D Design and LaserCut5.3

Post by keithwright »

We have noticed that if the file created in 2D has been altered a number of times i.e. lines etc added then deleted problems occur. The created DXF file when taken into LaserCut5.3 can have large parts missing. If I redraw the image in the file in a NEW file this usually gets rid of the problem. I noticed that someone else had had this problem with other software hope this will help if you have had this problem.

There are quite a few problems with some cad packages Keith, 2D Design being one of them, I tend to stick to either AutoCAD or Draftsite as they both have licensed compression for the DXF format.

cheers

We tried this one before and found of you export in plt format from 2D design
This solves it as some of the fonts are not exported when you send as a dxf
Hope this helps it did for us!
