Can you post up the file? saving it as DXF is possible in Corel, but it has to be drawn as 0 width lines (or as small as possible I think). Not quite sure how.

Can also be traced Phil from bitmap in corel but in Sue's case I'd avoid going there.Too many variables and settings that need to be changed unless your pretty good with cad file generation in general.

best wishes

They proberly did! - I thought it was all done on the computer. Oh well ive been cutting and engraving like a mad woman!

No on the 3020 only the speed can be controlled - keep the power as low as you can for the time you want to spend cutting and keep an eye on the water temp, both will help make the tube last longer ;-)

Enjoy the wonderful albeit a steep learning curve of owning a laser ;-)

Cheers

Hi There
Can anyone give me an idea where I can buy 2-3mm wood from mapel/walnut/beech/ anything like that. I have tried the 2 you told me about but they are a little slow to get back to me & really could do with some now.
Thanks

Hi Therer
I am trying to make some boxes from light card 160gsm. I have the cutting out setting ok but would like to lightly score the card so that it folds easily, I am finding that it is taking a hour to score and cut out just one a4 sheet of card. Can anyone one tell me how I can speed it up please1
Thanks

I assume you are engraving the scoring? If so there is not a lot you can do - best way would to either have a second file with the score lines and cut but on a much lighter setting or try to engrave just horizontal lines. I guess you could then change the head direction and then engrave vertical only on yet another file but you are on your own there ;-)
