laser photographs onto granite

Hi has anyone done any engraving onto granite? words and some images are OK, but struggling to get photographs from Coral Draw into Laser Cut cut with any degree of consistency. Loads of stuff on Yutube and tried to follow this but still no real success.

Hi Mal,
Ya photos can get complicated, lightening, darkening, removing backgrounds, turning to grey scale and diffusing halftones and saving as windows 2 bit bitmap. I must admit I havnt do it for a while, I cheat and use photograv. But it's possible. If you could post some pictures of the image, setting and results, just to give a general idea of what's happening.
