Newbie LS3020 correct position

Post by dreamcatcher »

Hi everyone

This is a newbie question so sorry if it seems silly.

I have a new LS3020. I'm using Lasercut and Inkscape and have just got Corel Draw Home version. I've been having fun cutting and engraving bits of ply and acrylic etc. But I'm wondering - if I decide to engrave keyrings, wooden spoons and cutting boards etc. No cutting just engraving. How can I be sure to get the position right everytime so the engraving is centered correctly? Do I have to draw the outline in my software for example or is there another way to make sure the item goes in the laser in the correct position each time.

Thanks for any advice.
