I've just had exactly the same problem as Mat.
I've not actually used my laser cutter all over winter and my workshop's been littered with electronics and other junk, but when I came to fire it up this evening, my host PC died.
I plugged my (Windows 7 32-bit) laptop in, installed the same software Mat mentioned in his post, and got the same error when I tried to manually import/merge the .reg files. So I can get NarlyDraw running on my laptop (with the dongle plugged in) but I can't get a response from the laser cutter - every time I try to engrave or jog the cutting head, I get "logic data port error" or something like that.

Is there anywhere we can get drivers for Windows 7 (32-bit for me, but others might need 64-bit?). Or does anyone have any they wouldn't mind sharing?
Thanks!
Chris

Hi Chris,
Windows 7 32-bit uses the same drivers as XP - there are no drivers for 64-bit.

Mat got his working off another PC so put it down to his laptop. I'm sure I have heard about this problem before with some laptops but can't remember where I saw it.

If you can try it on another 32bit pc and see what happens.

Cheers

Dave

I used the same disk that came with the laser - Windows 7 needs to be 32bit though ;)

Best
