Can anyone help please

Post by MasonsAttic »

I am a newbie to laser engraving, as you will soon find out by my questions! If anyone can shed any light on this I would be grateful. I would like to engrave photos onto wood, most woods we have tried so far are too grainy so have decided to just use laser ply until we get more confident. My question relates to the software LaserCut. It seems to ignore the settings I enter at times, for example, I will enter a power of say 30 and it will register that amount in the top right window, then proceed to engrave at a different power and I know it's different as I have done lots of engravings at different powers to compare. It's not all the time, just sometimes and at first I thought it was me! It still might be! Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Annie.

Hi Tom,

Yes I am downloading each time I change the settings, the settings then change in the box top right, but then sometimes it doesn't engrave with the new settings. It seems to get confused the more I use it. It will be fine when I start tomorrow morning but by the end of day I am tearing my hair out with it.

Thanks
Annie.

When you download try pressing esc on the machine if you have just run that job before
or delete the job instead of overwriting it
