Machining operations on a 3040

Post by JohnStevenson »

LS3040 with Lasercut 5.3
There are 4 machining operations, cut, engrave, gradient fill and hole. Believe it or not read the book but no mention of what the latter two operations do.
Any clues please ?

If I remember right (and assuming it's the same as our bigger machine)...
Gradient = Like an engrave but with sloping sides (and usually deeper). I think it's used for making rubber stamps and that kind of thing.
Holes = A 'dotted' cut made of little holes, like the perforations between sheets of loo roll!

Many thanks, all makes sense now.

Anyone got a link to a current manual, found a couple on the web but the screen shots are not up to date with mine.
Appreciated.
