Keeping in focus

Hi all, and happy New Year,

I am having real problems with keeping my materials in focus through the duration of a cut, I am mainly working with 3mm MDF and plastics and almost invariably the bottom left corner rises from the laser bed putting it out of focus and stopping the cut going all the way through. I'm keen not to reduce the speed or increase the power if I can help it, has anyone else come across this issue and worked round it? (the more Heath Robinson the better )

We are using an LS 3060 cutter.

Magnets work well - Dave (Spooky) has a contact who does some good ones at different shapes and sizes

That's good to know, I was expecting people to responds that magnets would do something horrendous to the machine possibly causing a rip in time and space etc which is why I hadn't tried but I will now. Thank you.

Anyone who remembers the ASR33 Teletype has to be 208 Years old.
