Crushed.

I have been trying to align the machine all day, since I am getting uneven kerfing, in a 10mm thick acrylic it is angled off about 1mm from top to bottom in both axis. I have been trying to adjust, move, adjust etc. Noticed that the lens holder was loose, and heard a definite click when I screwed it back in (I had cleaned it not long before). That dropped out.

I wanna cry. I have emailed HPC as I really do need one ASAP. Hopefully I can get one for Tuesday.

What a very kind offer! Unfortunately, I really am a long way away! HPC Is closer, but I am nights all week (as usual!)

I was hoping to get some new designs done this week as well! A rack for IC tubes, and I am building an entire ITX PC Case, as I can make it smaller and cheaper.

Yup, got one sent today. Massive thanks to Chrsi and HPC! Next day special delivery, so I will get it tomorrow, and be up and running again by the nighttime I hope! Got to finish off my alignments first.

Thanks for the really kind offer Spooky, Im going to have to get myself a set of spare optics, as this is critical!

And I now have a crack in a mirror. Took it out, looks like a hotspot has developed. Its been put to light use until I get spares in. I have rotated the mirroe until the crack is out of the lasers immediate path.

Ho hum.

Oh dear.
You don't seem to be having your fair share of good fortune lately
Did you get a build up of dust or something on the surface of the mirror ??

Where the mirror is above the lens does ot have any adjustments, so it is packed up. Looks like the laser has hit some ofthe packing as it is very slightly charred. This has settled on the mirror, and caused it to get hot enough to make a 3-4mm crack on the rear. I have since removed the packing that was causing the issue. Im now looking at trying to redesign the mirror mount, but its a difficult one due to the size constraints.
