Hello!

Post by PhillyDee »

Hello!

Just to say hello, really.

I am about to buy my first laser cutter, I will be ringing up on Monday to see if I can order one of the 3020PRO's for friday.

I already have a LOT of material coming for it, so will be all ready for when I pick it up.

Hopefully!

Hiya Phil,

Ignore Dave, he's gonna get me in so much trouble with my wife :)

Joking apart Dave is a great resource of experience with the 3020 (even if he doesn't like to admit it)

best wishes

Dave (the other one)

The helpfull delivery person helped me get the box in the door, however it then took a lot of moving of furniture and another pair of hands to get it out of the box !.

The Wife called it the "Iron Lung " at first then she warmed to it a little and named it Maisy !. The thing she has the most problem with is the cache of 5 litre bottles of distilled water that are distributed around the house !

Cooling Phill - the 3020 needs min 35l of deionised water. It comes with a pump to circulate the water through the tube. Deionised water is better than tap - less impurities and less conductive. ;)

BTW - it's cheaper to buy from a motor dealer in 25l containers ;-)

Even cheaper if you get empty 5liter spring water bottles filled up by a friendly School science technician !.
