Looking for nice laser wood S/yorkshire

Post by tietheknot »

Hi all,
Haven't posted for a very long time - sold my laser as things were not working out,
But have the chance to use the hpc laser at my local access space next week -
I'm wanting to cut some xmas ornaments and would really like some nicer wood than i used to buy.
Maybe something like birch sheets? No idea where to look and the internet is drawing a blank
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

What is the largest size sheet you can get away with?

I fancied something a little fancier than laser ply ;)

not too bad matey ;) x

Laser Ply is Birch, what sort of thickness? (3mm / 4mm / 6mm) If your only after one sheet drop Si a line at NovaLase, he has a load of 3mm birch ply I think.

If you wanna send me a mail I'll give you his email address and number, if you need quite a lot of it then Hobarts have it up to half a dozen 600 x 400 sheets, above that then you could go for full sheets (I'll mail you some contacts)

cheers

Cheers chuck - i think i'm just thinking back to the stuff i got from hindleys once that just charred, it definitely wasn't laser suitable - i'm trying to do all of this on a shoestring budget too, i wish i had my laser back :( boo! oh well, christmas and charitable acts and all that! :)
