Laser Tube

Hi folks,

My laser tube needs replaced but I just cant afford a new one delivered and fitted.

I am having a dilemma as I just don't know what to do.

There are some pretty cheap ones on E Bay but I don't know what size to get or whether or not I should risk it?

I also don't know what length to get as I have never replaced one before?

Does anyone know what length the HPC tubes are?

As I am writing this my mind is telling me that the sensible thing to do is to let HPC deal with it and get another credit card.

Any opinions?

Not going to take the risk!!

Decided to get the professionals in to sort out my laser.

Hoping to see HPC on my doorstep next Wednesday.

I think that in my case it is better to get things done by those who know how to do them properly.

Thank you HPC for putting up with my rambling e-mails.

You did the right thing

For info the tube length is normally linked to the wattage and can differ from each manufacturer.

Fitting the tube is not too bad if you are confident about electrical connections but knowing you are getting a quality tube fitted and getting someone else to sort the bubbles out and re-aligning makes the extra worth while if you don't have much experience

yep .. I'm with dave .. get your tube from HPC if you don't know what you are doing with it.

I've had a couple of broken tubes from china (different machines) .. and the last couple I've just bought from HPC

BTW .. saying you can't afford a tube .. should be pre planned and included in your prices.
They are disposable, just like printer ink ! ..
divide the cost of the tube by 12 and add it to your monthly expenses.
if it lasts longer than a year .. treat it as a bonus .. but still keep charging the correct price for your products !

Well that's exactly what I am going to do.

I have dealt with HPC for over 5 years now and find that they are always very helpful.

Perhaps when I know a bit more about lasers and tubes then I will try things myself.

I tend to function on a 'need to know' basis which limits my understanding about how things actually work.
