urgent help needed with ls3020. The laser head moves when i control it using newlydraw and when i click on "engrave" button it responds but nothing engraves on the material. I have tried wood, acrylic, plastic and even glass.
I recently moved houses and had to move the machine. Could this have damaged a component? Could this be an alignment problem? can anyone help with suggestions pointing me in the right direction?
Also, I noticed that clear white (empty) rubber tubing running beside the black and red wires passing power to the laser head (insulated in white tubing) is broken / cut. The broken ends are indicated in yellow in the attached picture.
Could this be the problem?

Re: urgent help needed with ls3020. head moves but not engra
Could be alignment, put a bit of card between the tube and first mirror and do a quick test pulse (make sure the lids are closed ok) if it burns you know the tube is working. Do this and post back
Have you checked the lens since setting the machine up?
The tube is the air assist which would not stop the laser from working but you need to fix that before using the machine again to keep the lens from getting damaged - how did it get broken?

When the machine is supposed to be engraving, does the meter on the front move?
It could be a problem with the switches on the doors, and also the switch on the panel. Its easy to depress the laser on switch on the front panel. Tried this?
Best to start with the obvious!

We will need a lot more information,
Any knocks or drops?
Bubbles in the tube?
Why the air assist is in two bits?
Why so much air assist tube is exposed?
How old is the tube?
How old is the machines?
Has it worked at all since moving it?
Has anything been adjusted?
Best wishes
