Hi all,
I really hope you can help. I have taken delivery of my shiny new LS3020 and I am soooo close of getting it all set up! However....
I have loaded the drivers on my XP laptop - they show up as "Philips LPC214x" and from what I understand that is a good thing. Sadly though, NewlyDraw 1.5 does not show the device in the drop down list - it only has "Artsign" in the Factory box. I have installed, uninstalled, rebooted, used the drivers from the manually burnt CD HPC gave me as well as the ones from the small drivers CD and nothing seems to make a difference.
On this forum there is another, recent, thread where this problem was described - there is no information on the answer on how to fix it though.
So close, yet so far - is there a miracle cure for this?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Sander
LS3020 not listed in NewlyDraw 1.5
Re: LS3020 not listed in NewlyDraw 1.5
Only thing I can think of is the Newlydraw disk - the one with HPC on it did not work for me so I had to use the actual ND disk. Uninstall and delete the directory in the C drive called NSDK1ENU and install from the ND disk.
As far as I know the drivers mentioned in the other thread were the wrong ones so Chris supplied the right one - have you called him?
Cheers
Dave

Wrong disk, artsign is router software.

Re: LS3020 not listed in NewlyDraw 1.5
Thanks for your help so far - I haven't got it quite fixed yet though.
The driver installed ok and I deleted NewlyDraw (files, directory, shortcuts and registry entries) and reinstalled it using the NewlyDraw CD. Sadly, the result remains the same and only Artsign shows up in the device list. It looks like I have been sent the wrong CD.
Curious little man that I am I have gone through the NewlyDraw files. EngraveLOC.ini does have the LS3020 listed. This file references Eng3BinV8.dll as its controlling file so the real problem I have then is that I have the wrong version of this file.
If I then had the updated registrykey HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Newlysoft\Newlydraw1\Engrave I would be good to go! (I think....)
I have emailed HPC on a few occasions but they must be busy - I wll try again.
There wouldn't be anyone out there who would be willing to email me their version of the dll file and an exported copy of the registry key would there?
A bit techie this - sorry!

Hi Sander,
I'll email you a link to a copy of the disk I have, try that and if it still doesn't work I'll have a look on the laser pc for the reg info

Re: LS3020 not listed in NewlyDraw 1.5
Dave,
Thanks again for all your trouble to try to help me out.
I have imported the registry key you sent me and the LS3020 now shows up in the NewlyDraw registry keys - major step forward!
The dll you sent me has a different time stamp to the one that I had (which would indicate that I was sent the wrong ND CD) - I have replaced the file.
Sadly though - NewlyDraw still does not show the LS3020 in the drop down list
This means that I would need to replace at least one other (if not more) dll(s) to get things to work - there is no way of knowing which one though so I would probably need to replace all of them to be sure... I am chomping at the bits to get my laser to work so hopefully HPC can email the correct versions to me first thing on Monday.
Will keep you posted - thanks again!
