Extraction

Post by Mr Bea »

Hi I am looking at a way to reduce the smoke output when cutting thin woods, not from the machine itself but from the extraction hose. Does anyone know of a filter system that I can put the extraction hose through just to reduce the smoke emissions.

Many Thanks

Hiya,

Fume filtering is available from HPC (and others) be aware though it's not cheap :( the filters also need replacing on a regular basis to remain efficient.

Micro level filters will work to reduce smell but need to be attached to suitable extraction systems :(

best wishes

Dave

We have purchased the air filter system from HPC and highly recommend it.

As Dave has said, it is not cheap and the replacement filters are not cheap either, but it does a amazing job. We use our laser machine in a small workshop and with out the filter system, it would not be possible for us to stay in there for the smoke.
