Help needed please

Post by Susie »

Hi There
I am a complete novice so please bear with me! I have a Ls 30-20 I have set up the machine but cannot seem to get to grips with the design side and how to start cutting!
When I import a file I cannot click the pick button so the scan tool shows, also I cannot find my model in the place where you surpose to put it ( Factory Artsign) Model ( Ls-3020 is not there) Do I have to number each piece that I want cutting out.
So sorry if I seem a complete twit! Can I use Newlydraw with XP.
Any help would be great.
Susie.

Hi Susie,

What disk did you use to install Newlydraw? Sounds daft but the version that used to be shipped with the LS3020 marked 'HPC Installation software' did not work so you need the Newlydraw disk.

You don't as such the numbers are for the cut order so you can do the small inner bits first if required.

XP is recommended so you should be ok there ;-)

Cheers

When you first import a dxf file, you will need to click the SPLIT button at the top right in the toolbar. This will split it into individual elements. Then you can select what you need from the menus.

afaik there aren't any drivers for ND for windows 7, the lasercut ones have been out for a little while but lasercut is a much more expensive package.

best wishes

Getting there! Can I use publisher to design and change the file Jpeg? Also LS3020 is not on the dropdown menu.
Thanks
