I knew it wouldn't be long!!

We cant download files from a usb stick to the laser. We have to import it on to the laptop screen then save it in documents then wipe the screen and open the saved version. then it downloads fine.

Is there a shorter way?

Our old lasercutter doesn't have this problem.

So are you saving the work in LaserCut to a USB stick and then trying to load from the usb stick or are you saying LaserCut won't save to USB?

What version of Lasercut?

I am exporting from 2d design onto a usb stick as a dxf.
Then I put the stick into the laptop. That's when I have to save to documents.

You can't use dxf direct to the laser so import it to LaserCut and then download to the usb - it will download different files that contain the machine settings etc.
