Ready To Buy a New Machine

Rock and roll!

Only had to take the dowel off the door frame in the end to give us 69cm of clearance which including the bottoms stays and the hinges up top was nearly not enough, my wife and daughter were amazing help and put up with me effing and oofing and we got it in. All set up and doing it's first cut now.

Hire van had to be back at 9am so I had to crack on.
HPC sorted me out a couple wood panels from laser crates which I would have been screwed without!




I made further use of the wood to get the machine down the side of the house via the path of least resistance.




The dog helped a bit.






Unbolted the top section, had to move the circuitry to get to one of the bolts.




Wife helped me lift the top section as daughter pulled the base out.




Located the base in the workshop.




Got the top section in and up on top of the base, wasn't easy but we finally succeeded

Did you have any problems with condensation? When we first moved here mine were in a conservatory - drips all over the place!

Yes at certain times of year it gets a bit drippy, I've got a decent dehumidifier running now so that should help but I'll be sponging the ceiling still I'm sure. It's okay most of the time though.

We're moving to Scotland by next summer, looking for places with more appropriate, insulated outbuildings so I'm not so cramped and have room to expand, I've got my eyes on a 6090 next

storming machine mate....I loved mine and it's still going strong close on 10 years down the road now with it's new owner. Bomb proof....

The HPC 6840 and the 1290 are without doubt two of the toughest most reliable machines I have ever seen or used.

Settled in now, I'm much more comfortable using it already now than I was the whole time with the old machine.

It's cutting beautifully, quickly and ever so precisely.
