Ready To Buy a New Machine

Am I right in thinking the 6840 > 6040?

What are the fundemental differences?

The 6040 is a standard pro machine with a 600mmx400mm bed
The 6840 is a slim line pro machine that will go though a standard door
But has a slightly bigger bed of 680mm x400 bed.

I know the specification differences I've been pawing over the specs for days, I guess I'm just wondering which is the better quality machine.

I'm just going to go with the 6840, it's all curvy



Anybody want to buy a LS3040 for spares or repairs? Worth sticking on ebay?

Bit nervous to say the least, all this time I've been repairing and bodging my poor old machine, and still she continues to cut (just about).

When we got the machine it was in a right old state and thanks to HPC sending us a key part I somehow got it working again, since then I got a CW3000 cooler and have been maintaining it as best I can. The new machine is not only bigger and better but it will work, that will be a shock to the system.

I may even miss the little faults for a time, at least until the new one goes tits up
