Problems with 2D Design

Post by nottinghamhigh »

Hi,
Does anyone use 2D Design with their laser cutter?
We keep getting a problem if anyone uses the dimension lines. When the file is exported into DXF format it either still has the measurements on it even if they have been deleted or the design is not complete, just a few of the lines.
Has anyone else had this trouble?

Hiya,

Dimensions in most Cad packages get exploded and dis-associated, this can lead to problems when importing into your laser. Do you have a file you can post as a demonstration of the problem? it's a lot easier to help if I can *see* the problem rather than try to understand it (if that makes sense :))

What format DXF are you exporting to? It should be AutoCAD 2000 compatible.

best wishes

Dave
