New Windows XP laptop (well £99 refurb - but is working OK) to run Newlydraw for cutting on my LS3020.
Dongle in, copied Newlydraw directory from CD to laptop and Newlydraw runs fine but after loading dxf file and going to ENGRAVE the Factory and Model drop-down boxes are empty. Where do I find the actual printer info (sorry old machine died and I can't remember what I did yesterday never mind 6 years ago!)
Any advice welcome.

NB have been heavily into 3D printers for some time but now starting a new model railway and need ultra-lightweight baseboards so am cutting 2mm MDF into pieces which make up a laminated baseboard frame. Hence the need to get the laser going again.

If I remember right, you have to install the drivers that are on the original disk so the PC can communicate with the laser.

Yes I have done that, installed drivers from the mini CD which came with the larger Newlydraw CD. I will try again now Newlydraw is installed.

Now resolved. The HPC CD I used yesterday was a HPC INSTALLATION CD but had no setup filemon it. This morning I found a CD which simply said HPC SOFTWARE. This did have the Setup program on it - I ran it and all is now well. LS 3020 still a brilliant little machine for the price, and only 200 hours on the tube so I am going to start creating smoke again!
