This is just an anecdote of a mistake I made but didn't realise it was a mistake until much later... read on...
Long before I had a laser...
We decided to have our loft re-insulated; there were government offers on at the time, and you could have put my current insulation into an envelope and it wouldn't even made 'Large letter' in the post office. So, upon clearing out the (never visited) loft I discovered a wooden board about 8ft long and 2ft wide, and upon it was a pile of sheets of wood veneer, probably about 100, each about 6ft X 18ins in old money. There was teak, oak, mahogany and some I have no idea about.
Ebay I thought - so on it went with no reserve. It all sold for £1. The guy who picked it up gave me a fiver as he must have felt sorry for me I could use that material now.
