I believe inkscape has a plugin that will generate the bends for you.

I modelled a 3D parametric living hinge for a similar product... very useful and fully configurable, any size, any number of segments... took me a few hours but it was worth the effort... Its been used on a few things I make...
I didn't know Inkscape had a plug in... I will need to investigate that... could save me hours if i wanted to make some sweeping changes...
