Re: Rotary device and 6840
Hi if anybody has info about setting up and using the rotary attachment on the 6840 it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Rotary device and 6840
Hi John,
Two ways of doing this...
we favour the method of not changing the pulse settings on the Y axis.
As we use different diameter items .
So we test the file as a basic low power cut on card taped to the item.
If we do a 50mm square on lasercut we get 60mm on the card then we scale the drawing to suit simples!!!

Re: Rotary device and 6840
i have created a small program that tells you the correct y pulse number to enter when you have told it the diameter of the item you wish to engrave
if you have a 6840 and a rotary attachment then pm me and i will send you the setup file
this i created for my own use but it may help others

Sorry to be a thicko but........
I am trying unsuccessfully to use the rotary attachment with laser cut 5.3 and the 6840, would you mind if I ask if you could clarify the text coloured in red please?
Where and how do you input the diameter of the object please?
Many thanks
Annette
Re: Rotary device and 6840
are you using my rotary program or just trying to enter the data into the laserscript program

Re: Rotary device and 6840
There in lies the problem.
The diameter needs to be entered into my program which then converts it to the correct pulse setting for you to enter into laserscripts worktable settings
