sorry being a bit thick
by coupler do you mean the end of the laser tube nearest the first mirror?

have cleaned the coupler , still no difference

Have a look at the other end of the tube Jerry , looking in through the glass are there any lines or cracks on the back face of the mirror? (you can only see the back of the mirror)

At the beam exit end have a look and see if you can see any cracks in the lens?

sorry its taken so long to get back to you, (student lessons getting in the way)
have had a look at both ends and can't see any cracks
both ends look fine
