Hi All
I have recently purchased a 6040 and put it together im my garage as i have limited space i was thinking about moving the air assist and water pump under the machine in the cabinet. At the moment the tubes don't reach, can i buy any type of rubber tubing that will fit or do i need to buy these from HPC? Basically i need them to be a about half a meter longer.
Also does anyone know why i shouldn't do this in terms of health and Safety?
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Cheers Nige

Re: Pump & Air Tubes
You could ask HPC if they stock the tubing - if not Air-craft stock air tubing (have used them before and happy to recommend them) and Tygon tubing is good which you can get from here plus fittings and flow indicators (not used them before but have a good reputation)
The water pump may be a bit under powered to lift the water the extra height so test it first.
As for H&S - can't see any issues - the air-line is not closed so no pressure as such to worry about. Don't forget the syphon effect of water so make sure tubes are secure

Re: Pump & Air Tubes
Dave your a star
Thanks for that i have been trawling the internet for hours for exactly those hoses. Ill take into consideration the extra pressure on the pump. I'm considering upgrading the air assist and water pump at some point anyway.
Thanks again and happy Christmas.

Re: Pump & Air Tubes
Hiya Nige,
Chris has miles of silicone hose in stock for the water tube but the airline has to be rated at 66 psi or greater for H&S (well the official stuff anyways). the water pumps are just simple aquarium pumps sp no worries there
best wishes and happy Xmas
