They were the ones supplied with my 3020 so unless something has changed they should be the right ones.

Hopefully Chris can throw some light on the problem for you.

Let us know how you get on ;-)

Cheers

Spooky wrote:your quite right Pete, however the machine will remember the last file sent to it so if you don't sent it a new one it will just cut the last one it had :) even if the machine has gone back to its datum at startup it will try to cut the file it still has in its memory. (That said I will check to ensure that's the case)

best wishes

It is the case on the 3020 - open the engrave panel and move to xy position and press start and it starts the last job ;-)

To engrave and cut different objects at the same time -

When you import the jpg, or type out the text (can be done whenever)
Click on the item you wish to alter.
Select either CUT or SCAN from the drop down box (can only select one item at a time for this).
Usually - Black line = scan, red line = cut.
You can then select all the items you wish to send to the LS3020.
It will automagically do both at the same time depending on which you have told it to do.
It starts by scanning (engraving) and then moves onto the cutting.

Keep the speed at 200mm/s for the scan speed in the settings boxes (as per here: http://www.laserscript.co.uk/phpBB3/vie ... ?f=9&t=192)
and adjust the cut speed so it cuts through the material.

You can select things one at a time by holding shift and ctrl at the same time. (Silly chinese software!)

Susie - please see page 3, second post in this same thread.

You cant change a picture to dxf without using something like R2V or re-drawing it youself in a CAD program.

This may help as well
