Hi Peter,
The fact that it is not returning back to its home X-Y position would indicate lost steps to me.
It could be software but I think tightness or binding of the axis carriage (sticky residue perhaps) or the drive belt and pulleys would perhaps be some things to check.

I second thatOrdered that and some antifreeze. Its down to 10 degrees in the unit. The gas heater in there is set to frost protection, but still, why risk it!

I think I mentioned this same problem in another thread (the stuff I bought had a gray colour, ridged backing) where my "perspex" turned out to be "polycarbonate". It was returned and eventually replaced with the right stuff but, in my case, the supplier was not Trent Plastics. T...

That's far too technical for me Glen, sounds like a lot of calculations (assuming I even knew the formulae) to prove that one way or the other and oviously the tube and nozzle size will play a great part in all this.
