Re: Air Assist Upgrade

Hi Glen,

Just a thought but, in the past, I have done some jobs (like the Aztec Calendar) which have taken in excess of 6 hours so continuous duty operation would be essential for me.

Re: Extraction of fumes and cutting speeds

Plycoll, The paper transfer tape used by vinyl sign makers is low tack, thin and ideal to apply to the work, before cutting, where the surface needs to be clear of any smoke discolouration. It comes in all widths and is not expensive to buy. Tweakie. http://www.cooperman.talktalk.net/files/27_files/...

Re: Is my Pot on its way out ?

Hi Pedro, It is just a fact of life really, I have bought some stuff from China which is so good it will out-live me, yet I have also bought stuff which is just junk and not worth keeping. Re: Low Chalk Paper supplier

I think the problem relates to the manufacturers not specifying the chalk content of their product. The only thing I have been able to do is locate the good stuff and discard the bad stuff by a process of 'trial and error'.

Re: Is my tube dead

by the way does water flow through the coiled glass tube inside as i cant see bubbles in it?
Water does not flow through the coiled glass tube. If you can see bubbles in it then lets hope they are bubbles in the glass. ;)

Re: Is my tube dead

Just a though but I have read about a crescent shaped beam before, on another forum. They found that cleaning the output-coupler (lens / mirror or whatever you call it) recessed within the water jacket at the business end of the tube cured the problem. They didn't say just how they cleaned it becaus...

Re: Perhaps it's better not to know.

Assuming you are in the UK then the earth is made through the plug connection. You should have no problems operating your machine with an RCD protected ring main.
Are you experiencing RCD problems ??
