Re: Info about files
I cut card reasonably regularly, including white and quite detailed. Charring only really occurs on the back side. The trick is to get a soft brush and dust the small amount of char off straight away without touching it. I usually use whatever 200ish gsm card I can find on Amazon Prime but recently ...

Re: What a Fun Day - New tube & Optics
Aye.. Had a real worry when my Roland LEF20 temporarily packed in the other day just after a huge product launch, that was a proper ring clencher. At least with the laser I can give HPC a call, get the parts myself and fit them in a day or two. The printer remains a mystery how it works and what wou...

Only had it once before with the LS3040, along with nice new optics, it certainly is a good feeling when everything cuts right.
Wishing you well

What a Fun Day - New tube & Optics
After a nice 300 mile round trip to HPC HQ yesterday, I got some new parts for the machine that has been used almost every day for three and a half years! A real testament to the quality of the components HPC supply. A few issues throughout the day, playing about with the wiring and having flow issu...

Re: Set a constant zero point?
I think this is your answer.
Go to the Laser menu (alt+L) and select 'Set laser origin'.
Then use this menu to define the laser origin, you can even use the pointer to select a position.

Re: Fume Filtering
Second filter packed in a few days ago, can't afford to keep buying the bloody things so decided to go back to the old form of extraction only to discover the old extractor was on the blink  Thrown caution to the wind and got a Manrose MF100 100mm Mixed Flow Fan from Screwfix for £50, lo and be...

Re: Fume Filtering
Pretty pissed off right now, the AD Oracle has been pumping out noxious acrylic fumes for the past couple of days, I've moved it to near an open window so I can continue working but that's not ideal. According to BOFA the Carbon filter has already died, less than two months into it's life which is a...

Upgrading the internal memory?
Hi hello,
Just a curiosity as I just ran of memory when I tried uploading a project to my laser, so I've had to do it in two waves.
Question is, is the onboard memory upgradable or is it hard wired? What's the USB port for on the side of the machine?
Hope all are well, I'm lovely
