Re: 3060 vs. 3050 vs. ...

Hi Dave,

Is the Chinese junk one you have one of those they are selling on ebay for £400ish? May be interested if you don't think you will use it?

Thanks

Matt

Re: 3060 vs. 3050 vs. ...

Have you used the 3030 router from HPC? Might get one of those I think.

Re: 3060 vs. 3050 vs. ...

Thanks again Dave, I will have a look at the routers for that kind of work, it makes sense. I am cutting 4mm MDF on the 3020 at 35%/9mms and it seems to be the right speed/quality. I diy'd a chiller involving a filter and swapping freezer blocks every 2 hours and it keeps it < 15 degrees. Can't beli...

Re: 3060 vs. 3050 vs. ...

Thanks Dave,

Only a little bit out with an 80w then :)

What would be suitable for 9mm? That would probably be thick enough.

Cheers,

Matt

Re: 3060 vs. 3050 vs. ...

That was a handy topic, came looking for pretty much exactly the same thing :) Lots of 3mm MDF to cut. I had finally decided on the 6840 but have just been asked about cutting 15-20mm MDF. Presumably that would that be way too thick for this and I would need to look at the 6090 or even something wit...

Re: Usage estimate

Thanks Dave It is all in great condition and cuts fine generally. Only thing I have noticed is that if I am cutting for an hour or so (5/10 mins at a time over say 3 hours), the cutting depth gradually decreases so I have to increase the power to maintain the same level (at that speed). Could this b...

Usage estimate

Hi, I recently purchased a LS3020 second hand to try some ideas out (already at the point where it is proven and need something bigger!). The person I had bought it off said it had only had about 100 hours use at < 25% power. Is there any way I can verify this? Only thing I could think of was cuttin...

Re: Upgrading Machine

Hi,

I am also in a similar position, possibly looking to upgrade the LS3020.

But I just wondered where the best place to sell my existing one would be, do HPC take part ex against larger models?

Thanks,

Matt
