I've used a new cable and in a new usb port and its working, it seems to be a combination of both which is so strange as nothing changed overnight but oh well found out what it was and it seems to be ok now,

Thanks for suggesting that i wouldn't have thought to change it.

Thanks Dave,
I've checked it all and its still not wanting to cut for more than 10 seconds now, i'll give HPC a ring tomorrow, must be the power again as everything else seems to be working right.

The fluorescent bulb has gone in my LS3020 just wondering what type of buld it is so i can get another, had a look in homebase/b&q and cant find one the same size.
