Have I set my laser up wrong after cleaning the lens?

Post by Barrie »

I'm back again!!

I carried out the weekly maintenance on my ls3050 and after cleaning the lens and putting it back the laser is not appearing on the bed of the printer. I'm guessing i'm missing something obvious as the laser mustn't be positioned right and struggling to find any diagrams to help me, I haven't had this problem before and any help would be great.

Sorry for been a little on the blunt side.

Cheers, Michael

Are you talking about the red dot alignment laser or the actual cutting laser?

If it still works the easiest way is to fire a test spot on a bit of wood that is fixed to the bed (height aligned as normal) and then line the red dot to the spot on the wood (before moving the head).

If it is not working - check that there is no crud in the output end of the unit or for any loose wires.
