DIY Rotary Attachment

Hi all,
I've had my LS6840 for almost 2 years now and I'm looking to have a crack at making my own rotary attachment. I've seen plans on Instructables etc, but I'm stuck on which stepper motor I'd need for the Leetro controller.
Has anyone made their own rotary for use with Leetro, or does anyone know which stepper motor I should be sourcing.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
