DXF too big

Hi,

I have recently been trying to cut 3mm Perspex but have run into a few problems.

My machine has been serviced so is running smoothly and engraving without any problems.

My problem is that more often than not the laser will not accept my dxf files. It sometimes loads them but mainly it will say that it exceeds the size. It can reject a file that was accepted the previous day.

I think that it may be the program that I am using to create the files. I am using either inkscape or serif drawplus.

Has anyone got a solution to this problem or any helpful suggestions?

Alison

is it one very complex piece, or multiple copies of a smaller shape ?

Still not able to reliably cut Perspex. I just don't know what is wrong. It will of course be something that I have caused but I just don't seem to be able to resolve the problem.

It could be the way I make my DXF files, I just don't know!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proof would be drawing a shape in Lasercut and cut that - once you have the settings right then move to your dxf ;)
