I cut 1.5mm hips around the 25/40 mark if I remember right but I have a small silent compressor so can up the airflow. There is a larger HAILEA pump which will help if a compressor is not feasible.

I have a file set up with 8 rectangles (around 10 by 8mm) and underneath similar sizes circles. Set each set of shapes to a different layer (so the first on the left rectangle and circle set to red, next one's blue......), set each layer the same power but increase the speed in increments of say 5 (I use 2 now). Cut this test sheet in the furthest corner away from the start point and you will have a guide to the best settings without using lots of material.

If when you cut a full sheet and parts do not cut it can be the bed not being level or alignment issues.
