Windows 10 Drivers
Windows 10 Drivers
Hello Everyone
It has come to my attention that a guide to update the machine drivers for windows 10 may bee required.
The windows 7 64 bit drivers stored on your machines installation disk are capable of operating on windows 10.
To manually update the drivers please follow these steps.
DRIVER INSTALL FOR WINDOWS 10
STEPS
1. Search admin tools in the search bar and select it.
2. Then select computer management and go to device manager.
3. Under the Universal serial bus controllers Tab the machine will be known as EZ USB or Unknown device.
4. Right click on the device and select update drivers.
5. Select to browse my computer for driver software.
6. Click on the browse button in the new window.
7. Select the disk drive which the software disk is in (likely drive D) then click OK.
8. The program will search for the necessary drivers itself then ask for permission to install them. Allow the install and the drivers will be updated.
Regards
Mathew

Thanks Mathew,
Presumably this is just for LaserCut users and not anyone using NewlyDraw

HI Dave
My apologies this is for Lasercut 5.3 users.
From an official standing Newlydraw is not compatible with any windows operating system younger than windows XP.
Thanks

Re: Windows 10 Drivers
This is good news indeed... I can finally ditch windows 8.1 (the worst release since ME AKA the Malicious Edition) and take advantage of the free upgrade. Thanks for the instructions, they are very much appreciated.......

I disagree, but that's a different thing entirely. I just disliked the metro interface. ME was the buggiest piece of crap in the world.

Re: Windows 10 Drivers
no argument from me there.... I installed ME on release day.... and uninstalled it less than 7 days later. Win8 is ok.... but I prefer win7 for usability...PhillyDee wrote:I disagree, but that's a different thing entirely. I just disliked the metro interface. Re: Windows 10 Drivers
I found it easier to re-install Lasercut but say no to replacing the config/system file.
There is not a simple upgrade AFAIK
