Extraction... Hpc 6840

Post by teachermatt »

Hi.

I have a hpc laser 6840.

It's about 3 years old, I absolutely love it but recently it's been getting so smokey, Its pouring out of the top and sides,

I have cleaned the extraction and pipes... This was fairly dirty but since cleaning seems to be even worse... Is there something I may have forgotten to do?

Also is there replacement tubes where the lens is held? The knurled part has got stuck and makes it a lengthy task to clean the lens, I have to take reddot pointers off etc...

Thanks in advance for help.

The extractor fan may need a good clean - without a filter they become clogged up over a period of time. They are not that easy to clean without dismantling so may be worth buying a new one from HPC.

HPC should have spares for the lens holder too ;)
