Hi,
Apologies if this is a simple question ... but I think I am just missing a simple trick. When I engrave, and want to switch from one template of parts to another one, I am doing the following:
Open LaserCut, import template A (dxf file), do my engraving
Then I close the software
Then I open the software again, import template B (dxf file), do my engraving
Then I close the software
etc
Is there any way to switch from one template file to another without closing and reopening the software? Kind of like you can have multiple files open in Microsoft Word and switch between them without closing and opening the programme? Although the templates that I am using are standard (the jigs), the information that is engraved onto each piece is custom for every customer. That is why I have been importing a new template each time (instead of using templates that have been saved from within the programme). Any help would be much appreciated...

Re: LaserCut 5.3 - switching between files
You dont have to close and reopen, you can save the file and it stores the data.

As Phil says and no way to have multiple files open sadly (I use one PC for two machines so it would be handy to do so!)
