Z axis Laser bed Jammed

I am having some problems with the z-axis on my 3060, when I ask the laser or the computer to adjust the laser bed height all that happens is that it makes a funny noise like its jammed. It has happened before and I have been able to let the bed down to the lowest it will go and then wiggle the bed, where it feels like it slots back into the correct position and then will go up. But today I let it down to engrave a thicker bit of wood and now it wont move anywhere. I have taken out the grill and tried to level the bed but it doesnt feel like it has before when we have been able to slot it back into place.
