CNC Advice

Post by DavidJHolmes »

Ok I know its not a laser but you guys are extremely knowledgable :)

If you remember my two logos I spent an age drawing into AutoCAD, I want to cut them out in a glass filled nylon sheet. I think a CNC machine would be preferable to a laser as I want a uniform cut/engrave. Can anyone recommend a CNC machine that comes in at around 1000-1500. I'd prefer a complete package that requires no making, Merchant Dice do a few but I can't get my head around whats what, and the prices vary massively. Chris's at HPC are a bit big, I only need an A4 sized machine at the moment. I'm probably asking for the moon so I expect quite a lot of "not at the price mate!" replies. :D

Thanks Chaps

Those are two I've seen, the latter needs a driver board and software to work. The sell the driver boards for about £250 but I don't know if they are any good as the next up they sell are £700-1000 just for the drivers/control box!

I'll ring Chris tomorrow and find out :)
