Hi Ho the Experts!!!
Need to cut some shapes in 6mm laser-ply (bought from HPC so must be the right stuff). Tried the settings in the manual that came with our machine but it was not a success (speed 1.5 power 98) with a 60W tube running on a 3060 machine. Made a pretty nasty burnt mess of the wood as it was travelling so slowly (even with air assist).
Would the collective think that the speed at 1.5 was too slow?
Any recommendations?
The machine is mostly used for cutting styrene and is very successful at that.
Cheers
Carl

Re: Settings for 6mm laser-ply?
Hi Carl,
I cut 6mm at 8mm/s at 70% - I have upgraded the air assist though so use a bit more air to help
Same machine and tube
Best
