Hello, Is there anyone who has tried to Laser Etch Antler. I have seen that it can be done, but is it safe to do this and is the Filter System on the 1290 enough to take away the waste or would you need a better system.
Thanks for any Help. Dynamode

Re: Antler
As a guess I would think it was ok but may smell, start with low power.
It may be like Rhino horn though but the effects should ware off after a short while
Cheers

Re: Antler
I did one years ago, no problem at all. Hardest bit was jigging it so the laser could get to the focal point where the etch point was !!
Have no idea what settings I used, but from memory I just ran a few passes, starting at high-ish speed and low power until the etch was as dark as looked good.
