slight wobble

hi folks, my machine has very recently developed a very small wobble that's noticeable when engraving, the line wiggles ever so slightly when scanning horizontally on the table. It's only fractions of a millimetre but it messes up the look of some of my designs. I've noticed that the mounting for th...

tube cleaning

My tube has started to show signs of 'bits' in the water, so i'm about to replace the water in the tank for the first time, i'm slightly concerned there might be some algae growth so i'm anxious to make sure it's clean before i put fresh water in. Re: Cutting mirrored acrylic

Cheers Dave,
I'll give that a try. Is there a reason that this only happens with mirrored? I'm guessing it's due to being extruded rather than cast?

Thanks

Re: Cutting mirrored acrylic

Hi, I've tried several different supplier and had both the grey and white backed stuff that I see people mention with the same issue every time. sometimes a piece will be fine when cut but some time later (about 20 mins tonight) cracks appear (usually around sharp corners) I'm a bit at a loss as to ...

Re: Our New (second hand) LS3040 Laser Cutter

Llama, can you tell me who your supplier for mirror is? I'm having real trouble with mine cracking around sharp corners (sometimes well after the cut is made) I had one piece tonight that was fine for about 20 mins after I cut it and then suddenly a crack appeared running from the inside of a corner...

Cutting mirrored acrylic

Hi, I've been trying without success to get a clean cut on 3mm mirrored acrylic. The issue I'm having is with small cracks appearing around cuts. This seems to be a particular issue on corners and tight bends. I've tried a cutting mirror side both up and down, masking both sides or none but nothing ...

Windows 7/8 Drivers

Hi,

I see several posts around where people are using their machines with windows 7/8 and I notice the machine specs in the HPC store have now been updated to include window 8, can anyone tell me where I can find the drivers or does anyone have a copy that they can share?

Thanks
