Re: Laser not working an part of the bed

I would call them and check - I would not expect the bolts to have loosened so quick. I may be ok but best check it case it has knocked it out of alignment.

Re: Laser not working an part of the bed

Just downloaded the videos - the bar should not be lose like that so there is something wrong/loose on the carriage. The machine looks hardly used so doubt it is the bearings so suspect something has come loose or broken. It is earlier than mine so not quite sure how it is built on yours - maybe tak...

Re: Laser not working an part of the bed

Sadly the videos don't run - the page opens but when try to play it just sits waiting.

It sounds like a belt or bearing issue - also check the datum switches aren't loose.

With the machine off the head should move smoothly - there is a bit of resistance but not a lot.

Re: Laser not working an part of the bed

What machine and software version?
So the head moves ok when the machine is off and returns to datum when you turn it on?

Does it do it on all files or a simple text file?
You can post a video to a hosting site and post a link here ;)

Remember though I am using it as an open system so turn of the flow from the compressor valve.

I do drain the compressors when I remember but not had an issue with condensation reaching the work.

Re: One compressor, two lasers?

I did for a while on my two 3060's - apart from having to kick in more often it worked ok.

Re: Air Compressor, Solenoid, etc

Can you pm me the details for the solenoid (not allowed to post custom mods).

The instruction were in the book that came with the compressor - if if did not get one I can scan mine ;)

Re: Air Compressor, Solenoid, etc

As said I don't bother and just turn the valve open before hitting start and turn of after. You can adjust the duty cycle on the compressor to give a slightly longer time between cycles as you are aiming for air flow rather than pressure. I use an inline valve near the laser to help control the flow...

Re: Air Compressor, Solenoid, etc

Ask HPC - personally I turn the compressor on manually - a lot easier ;)
