Iffy door switch...if the lid gets banged down by accident it can displace the switch leaving just on the make or break point.

Double check the "Immediate" checkbox as well Ali

In all the years I have known Chris he has never blown his own trumpet he will tell you HPC machines are *good* ...I can tell you they are Great!

Drop the power and increase the speed, sooting up is often a sign of too much power getting into the materials although some types of card can be a nightmare to cut given the chalk content

Drawing scaling, Techsoft2D isn't one of the better programs to use with a laser as the setup if it's set to inches on the templates will resample the drawings when they hit the laser. 60 watt when it's settled down should do 3mm acrylic at 22 speed / 80/85 power reliably. what power tube?

I've seen it before but never found out what causes it, some of the time it will be a drawing down on a cheap package that has a Z depth (it sends the motors crazy) but as yet I can't seem to find a definitive answer other than that.

(check the bed cutting area in the settings, should be 670 x 390)
