Re: Laserscript 5.3 installation

Thank you, and excuse my lack of knowledge, but what is an NAS drive, and is a USB memory key a memory stick?
Thank you.

Laserscript 5.3 installation

Hello all, I've had to get a new laptop due to Windows 7 becoming unsupported, and have updated to one without a disc drive. Has anyone managed to install the Laserscript 5.3 software without a disc? I'm really not the best technology minded and not sure how to do this. Any help or pointers would be...

Engraving and cutting rubber

Hello, I've just bought an A4 sheet of rubber for laser cutters from Kitronik, and as such I'd like to be able to cut and engrave it without much wastage (it wasn't cheap!). I basically want to make myself a rubber stamp or two. Has anyone any recommendations for power and speed to try please? Any h...

Re: Engraving a photo onto plywood

Thank you Dave,
I've never heard of them, and have no idea what dithering actually is, but I'll have a look.
Thank you

Engraving a photo onto plywood

Hello all/anyone that reads this! I'm wanting to engrave photos onto wood and I'm really struggling to find a suitable program to convert them into some sort of format that works! I just seem to end up with really blocky images which have lost pretty much all of the detail. Can I ask what other peop...

Re: House insurance

Thank you Dave, that's helpful, but also a bit worrying. I'm worried that if it did start a fire I wouldn't be covered if I hadn't told them!
So frustrating.
But thank you again for your comments.

House insurance

Hello anyone that reads this! I was just wondering who people use for house insurance when you have a laser! Especially if you're also trying to run/do a small craft business. I'm not necessarily looking for recommendations, but so many just don't seem to even quote!! Thank you for any and all advic...

Hello from Northampton

Just wanted to say hello before I ask various questions.
I've got a second hand laserscript 3040 that I've had for over a year now, trying to start a small craft business (life with a toddler is however slowing it all down!)
Any hints and tips are always gratefully received.
Thank you
