Re: One compressor, two lasers?

Great. Did you just use a y splitter somewhere in the line and get another regulator for the second machine?

One compressor, two lasers?

Is anyone using one air compressor for more than one laser cutter? (specifically, one 22l Titan silent compressor with two LS6840’s?)

Re: Air Compressor, Solenoid, etc

Thanks. I've just got the solenoid in and it words really well. I'd recommend it as it was cheap to buy and easy to install.

How do you improve the duty cycle? I have the titan 22l silent compressor.

Re: Air Compressor, Solenoid, etc

The compressor arrived today and I've stared the setup. To test the setup, I simply plugged in the compressor and turned it on and then attached the airline to the nozzle. However, when I open the valve next to the regulator (image attached), the air flows regardless of whether the machine is runnin...

Air Compressor, Solenoid, etc

I'm awaiting delivery of a Titan air compressor for one of our LS6840's and am just getting the other parts together. Can anyone offer any advice on wiring the solenoid, regulator, compressor, etc? I believe I need to use pins 1 and 6 on the Y1 connector but that's as far as I have got with it. Can ...

Re: Air Compressor Inside Laser Cutter

The noise doesn't bother me too much as we have 2x LS6840's running pretty much all day as well as a wide format and a flatbed printer so you get used to the noise. I've read that better airflow can help reduce the smoke burn though, which is what I'm primarily interested in. I did upgrade one of th...

Re: Air Compressor Inside Laser Cutter

Ah good point. I hadn't thought about the fumes. the only other place for it would be the cupboard on the bottom but that wouldn't really shorten the tubes enough to be worth it.

Thanks Dave!

Air Compressor Inside Laser Cutter

Has anyone tried moving the air compressor inside the laser cutter (LS6840) to shorten the the hose and increase the airflow? It looks like there might be room for it at the back of the laser bed, underneath where the laser tube is.
