Re: Using your laser as a line bender

Hi Dave, Ya, it'll be interesting to see what kind of length you could do. It needs a bit of playing with to get the right FL and Power settings. This was set to "engrave" speed 400, power 40, scan gap 0.01 and FL of about 120mm. The power was too high and it cut a V groove, which worked r...

Using your laser as a line bender

I was asked at a show if you could bend perspex with a laser? Not being one to shy away from a challenge, I quickly knock up a tall pin bed (which wasn't really needed!), placed the owl on it and set it out of focus. The results where really good, even though Id used too much power. Please follow th...

Re: Help with Lasercut 5.3 and 6840

Hi izzy, The laser origin should be set to top right. If you press the return/enter on the key pad to highlight the file, then press it again. Navigate to "cancel logic org" yes, and press return. When you check or uncheck immediate, you'll have to download cfgs. You'll have to clarify a b...

Re: FOAMEX

Hi Ali,
You can't cut Foamex with a laser, as it's PVC. Not sure about trespa. But generally don't use anything containing vinyl.

Re: iPad, iPhone uploading images

Hi,
Just a quick update. The app works on some websites. The ones it doesn't you have to upload images to photo storage site like photobucket and use a hyperlink in your post. Bit of pain, but it works. If anybody has an alternative........

Re: iPad, iPhone uploading images

Hi Tweakie,
Still a problem! App has un-greyed the button and allows you to choose a file, but uploads it to "drafts" without the image!! So looks like it back to square one....... Has anybody posted picture on the forum via a hyperlink?

iPad, iPhone uploading images

Hi,
I was having difficulties uploading images from my iPad and iPhone! the "choose file" button was greyed out. As it turns out its something to do with safari. I've just put an app on called "icab" and it has cured the problem : )
