Re: Info about files

I don't have 6.1 but if you open it and select import you should see a list of file formats ;)

Best card is one that does not have a high chalk content - best to get samples and try (I do not often cut light coloured card as it is a pain).

Re: Baby, it's cold outside... (antifreeze advice?)

I put a small amount in (about a tablespoon) to around 20lts and then top up every few months. I do use the lasers every day for at least a couple of hours so this may help as it does not get a chance to stand for long ;)

Re: Baby, it's cold outside... (antifreeze advice?)

You should really use deionised water - less conductivity and salts. Use chlorine (sold in DIY store for hot tubs) to keep water fresh. Use HPC anti freeze - do not use normal car anti freeze or keep the pump running 24/7 which may help depending how cold it gets ;) I change about once a year - loca...

Re: Tube upgrade

Hi Wayne, The speeds and power settings can depend on the type of materiel and quality - for example laser ply (birch or popular) or light ply all have slightly difference requirements. I cut 3mm birch laser ply at around 28mm/s at power of 62% and 5mm at 9mm/s - I think I could cut faster with high...

Re: Lasercut Crashes and How to stop them.

Hi James - give HPC a call.

I do not know that much about it other than the basics - like most things there are advantages and disadvantages to some of the changes Letro have made ;)

Re: Lasercut Crashes and How to stop them.

There is an dongle less upgrade but you need to upgrade the motherboard. That is the way it is I'm afraid.

Re: How to close lines?

I don't know 2D Design but in the CAD software I use it is an option called Join. The PEdit option can also be used with a set distance if the lines have not snapped into place.

You can unite lines in Lasercut but to my knowledge it will not join so it is best to do it in 2D Design.
