Re: Air Compressor Inside Laser Cutter

I have a 22l and that works well but if I had room I would go larger purly to get a bit more time between the pump topping up )

Re: Air Compressor Inside Laser Cutter

No worries - if you use the machine a lot I would go for a silent compressor - I have two small Titan's and they are great. I can alter the air flow depending on the material needs and they switch off until the pressure drops so you get a break from the hum of the pump - possibly a bit quieter than ...

Re: Air Compressor Inside Laser Cutter

I would be careful that it does not suck in fumes as the could be counter productive (not sure of the layout of the 6840) also you may have to soundproof it as the cabinet could amplify the noise and lastly the vibrations may not be a good idea depending on the pump ;)

Re: Laser cut position

Hi - it is too long for me to remember Newlydraw.

I have attached a PDF of the settings I used on my 3020 - check or uncheck the 'full page position' and see if that helps

Re: Cutting mirror acrylic I get flames

Mirror is a pain sometimes depending on the design. Most of the time I will cut with the back facing up and having good air assist helps.

The brand can also make a difference - make sure it is acrylic.

Re: 3 fans at front of ls3020

Hi - not sure what the standard fan is now for the 3020 but HPC sell the red box fans for the larger machines and one of them should be fine. I have used small computer fans on mine in the past and it does help but the better the external extraction the less fumes into the room and even a slightly b...

Re: Made this water alarm

Found this useful yesterday - machine was idle and for some reason a pipe came loose off the pump in the container. Water coming out the top all over the floor but the alarm went off so we got to it quickly!

Cheers
