Hi Liam,
It is just a call to arms at the moment - hang fire and I'm sure it will all become clear.

Re: COVID 10 face masks

0.5mm PETG seems to be what works but we may be asked to do the headbands as the face shields can be cut by hand and hole punch - this is being updated by the minute in the group ;)

Re: COVID 10 face masks

Thanks - yes there are a few people trying to help which is great - the main thing is to put the resources into a group that have spoken to the NHS and supply chains so the masks will be accepted. The National 3d printing society is working with Med Supply UK. Also remember that PVC is not to be use...

Re: Cutting Acrylic and Laser ply - width of cutting beam

LaserScript 'Offset curve' does the same but only on the objects you select - it will change the new offset objects to a new colour so you can turn off the new colour and delete the old and switch the new colour back on. Beam diameter can depend on many factors and the beam is a cone shape so the wa...

Re: Cutting Acrylic and Laser ply - width of cutting beam

3.3mm is a loose fit normally - depends on the brand - Perspex and Amari are normally better than other makes. Due to the difference friction fit can be hard unless you fettle the slot with a file

0.25 offset will give .5mm

Re: Settings for acrylic.

Hi Gordon,
I raise acrylic of the bed and use speed of around 33mm/s at 64% for 3mm and speed of 11mm/s for 5mm.
